Is sleeping in velvet and silk particularly delightful?<\/h2>\n

Our legends and stories suggest as much. According to legend, a Chinese emperor long ago imposed the death penalty on anyone who attempted to take silkworm cocoons out of the country. This legend is now around 5,000 years old, yet it seems credible because silk is a fascinating fabric that still requires a very complex manufacturing process today. Silk bed linen has very elegant characteristics that clearly distinguish it from other bed linen fabrics, both visually and haptically. Silk conveys a feeling on the skin that is difficult to describe, but all the better to feel. The same is true of the appearance of silk bed linen. Its shimmering sheen gives every color a radiance that is simply unique. It is not without reason that silk painting is considered one of the high arts in India and China. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Five thousand years of silk<\/h3>\n

Five thousand years of silk also means five thousand years of silk weaving history. That’s a long time to weave beautiful fabrics from the world’s only natural continuous fiber, which were and still are so sought after that the former trade route was named the Silk Road. Today, silk is produced all over the world, including in Central Europe, and some manufacturers focus on the production of silk bed linen<\/a>, such as Seidenweber, which has its silk factory in Plauen in the Vogtland region. The silk weavers from Thuringia have not been working with silk for 5000 years, but they have been doing so for over 90 years and during this time have mastered the art of giving the noble fabric of silk a wonderful form, preferably as bed linen. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

When something seems to stand above other things, it is often described as \u201cregal,\u201d whether this is true or not. Silk bedding<\/a> almost automatically brings to mind the adjective \u201cregal,\u201d and it’s easy to see why, because bedding itself is not vain or pretentious. Seidenweber bed linen is no exception, especially since it is not just silk, but perfectly crafted silk bed linen, as can be seen in the collections. In short: sleep in velvet and silk. Only silk bed linen is even more elegant than linen bed linen<\/a>. <\/p>\n

It is not easy to choose between the various silk bed linen collections. So it is a purely subjective choice when, for example, Princess bed linen is used as a representative of this type of bed linen. If the Seidenweber factory had existed in the 17th century, it is conceivable that Princess bed linen would have been made especially for Louis XIV in his palace at Versailles. After all, silk is known as the queen of natural fibers, which is a perfect fit for the Sun King, isn’t it? <\/p>\n
