Auburn, navy and bronze on ecru linen

Auburn is 100 per cent linen, washed, in a heavy 460 g/m² quality. Plain weave and Nm 58 yarn give it a firm, even hand. Linen regulates moisture, so the coverlet stays fresh for a long time. In summer it cools, and in winter it adds warmth. Meanwhile the navy and bronze stripes give the bed a calm rhythm. As a bedspread or sofa throw, it brings a touch of the coast indoors. You can explore related designs in the Libeco coverlets and pillowcase collection.

Care

Auburn’s stripes make it coloured linen, so 60 degrees is the upper limit, even though the ground is pale. Any lower temperature will extend its life. Since optical brighteners bleach natural colours, reach for a detergent without them. Do not overfill the machine; the coverlet needs space. Keep the spin moderate and brief. A little moisture left in the fabric prevents heavy creasing. When you iron, use the hot linen setting on the still-damp cloth. And although it is convenient, the dryer can shrink linen, so leave it aside.
