MANAGEMENT
The Person Behind the Fabric
Armin Frohmann combines what is rarely found in one person: many years in the specialist linen trade, a career in communications for major industrial companies and consultancies—plus the academic precision of a historian. He still teaches today, showing tomorrow’s leaders how to navigate intercultural contexts.
At The Linen Lounge, all of this comes together. Knowledge of the weaving mills, their machines, and their people. An understanding of what makes a good fabric—and what makes a good story. And the conviction that the two cannot be separated.
In 2025, he published “The Spirit of Linen”—a book about humanity’s oldest cultural fabric, its origins, its manufactories, and the question of why a fabric that improves with age fits our times so well.
Armin leads the strategic development of The Linen Lounge, maintains relationships with European partner weaving mills, and is the first point of contact for all questions regarding the material.
