Description

“Tinos – Pure linen towel from Libeco”

Tinos – Pure Linen Towel from Libeco – pretty cool with an understated look … This is what the designer says: “This is our classic striped towel collection, in a modern twill weave. This collection combines beautifully with almost all Libeco designs.”

Towels made from organic linen

Organic linen redefines the term towel. Instead of the usual cotton, organic linen is a fabric with special properties for towels. Organic linen is lighter than cotton of the same thickness. Towels made from organic linen are just as absorbent and dry faster. The dense fibers of flax allow moisture to pass through easily. They also have anti-allergenic, antiseptic and hygroscopic properties. The hard-wearing linen fiber is also very durable and abrasion-resistant, whether on the beach, in the sauna, when traveling or at the gym. Not forgetting the environmentally friendly and sustainable production of towels made from organic linen, certified by the GOTS standard. Organic linen becomes softer and more supple with every wash. Towels made from organic linen-cotton blends are also very popular. They combine the best of both fabrics in one. Whether towels made from pure European organic linen or towels made from linen-cotton blends, they impress with their material properties as well as their style and elegance.

The Weaving Mill

In 2006, Libeco received a knighthood from the Belgian royal family: “Belgian Royal Warrant Holder” is the impressive recognition of the quality of this linen. The “Belgian Linen” quality seal is the guarantee of a quality product in accordance with all the rules of sustainable management. All Libeco fabrics bear the coveted “Masters of Linen” label. This guarantees that the fabrics have been tested to meet the extremely high requirements of this master class and that they are manufactured exclusively in Europe. “Eco Line” and “Oeko-Tex” provide the assurance that Libeco fabrics are free from harmful substances and that they have not been treated, bleached or dyed with chemicals.

Care Instructions

Colored linen can be washed up to 60°, white up to 95°. As with all materials, linen will last longer if washed at a lower temperature. What linen does not tolerate are detergents with optical brighteners, they bleach out the natural colors and the fabric becomes light Wrinkling: Linen needs sufficient residual moisture so that it does not wrinkle so much. Do not overload the machine so that the fabric can move, do not spin linen too hard or for too long. If you want to iron linen, iron the garments on the hot setting of your iron when they are still a little damp. Even if it is convenient: avoid drying linen in the dryer. Overdrying can cause it to shrink.
