Description
“Deer half-linen bed linen from Leitner Leinen”
Deer – at first glance, this half-linen design presents itself as a graphic and abstract composition. But a closer look reveals an unexpected variety from the realm of the forest: majestic deer silhouettes merge with stylized trees, branches and foliage to create a weave of remarkable depth. The design bridges the gap between modern graphic design and alpine coziness – it is neither rustic folklore nor urban coolness, but a contemporary interpretation of forest romance. The powerful depiction of the animals is combined with a minimalist design language to create a pattern of surprising elegance. In the bedroom, Hirsche unfolds a calming, grounding presence: the design brings a piece of nature into the room without appearing homely or kitschy. The eight color tones – from pure white to warm marigold and earthy linen to powerful anthracite – allow for a variety of interpretations: restrained in natural tones or rich in contrast in dark nuances.
The advantages of half-linen
Half-linen is a textile alliance in which two fibers combine their strengths. The warp of pure cotton provides stretch and softness, while the weft of pure linen stands for tear resistance and durability. This intelligent construction creates bed linen with remarkable properties: On warm days, the linen content has a cooling and refreshing effect; on cool nights, the cotton stores cozy warmth. The fabric absorbs moisture generously and wicks it away quickly without feeling damp – a natural climate balance that promotes restful sleep. The antibacterial properties of linen fibers remain largely effective in half-linen, while cotton significantly reduces the distinctive linen crease and simplifies care. The better dyeability of cotton enables the subtle shading of the deer design, which gives the forest motifs their depth. Priced between pure linen and pure cotton, half-linen offers exceptional value for money with significantly greater durability than pure cotton bed linen.
Manufacturing tradition since 1853
The history of linen weaving Leitner begins in 1853, when the first looms went into operation in Ulrichsberg, Upper Austria. Five generations have passed since then, but the passion for linen and the dedication to perfect craftsmanship have remained. Embedded in the hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel, bed linen collections are created here that combine tradition with innovation. The path from local weaving mill to internationally renowned manufactory was characterized by the pursuit of excellence. The result can be seen at the most important textile trade fairs worldwide. Yet for all its internationality, Leitner remains a manufactory in the best sense of the word: manageable, personal, flexible. Special sizes for unusual beds are just as much a matter of course as individual advice. Each piece is manufactured with the aim of lasting for generations.

Care of your half-linen bed linen
Half-linen bed linen is easy to care for and develops an increasingly pleasant softness over time. Colored linen can withstand temperatures up to 60°, white bed linen up to 95°. In everyday life, 40-60° is usually sufficient for perfect cleanliness. Do not use detergents with optical brighteners – these take away the linen’s natural depth of color. Slight creasing is a quality feature of natural fibers, but is much less pronounced with half-linen than with pure linen. For smoother results: Do not load the drum more than two thirds full and select a maximum of 1000 revolutions. Iron at a medium to high level with residual moisture. Tumble drying is not recommended – air drying is gentle on the fibers and preserves quality for decades.
