Description
“Watercolor half-linen bed linen from Leitner Leinen”
Watercolor – the term conjures up that fleeting art in which colors melt in water and unite to form unexpected compositions. It is precisely this painterly quality that characterizes this half-linen design: floral and geometric shapes merge playfully into one another, as if an artist had applied them to damp paper with a broad brush. The contours are deliberately blurred, colors merge, shapes dissolve and re-emerge. The result is a dynamic, modern surface of remarkable vibrancy. Every time the eye wanders over the fabric, it discovers new nuances, new connections. This design brings artistic lightness into the bedroom – it is reminiscent of impressionist gardens, of blurred summer days, of those moments when the world becomes soft. The nine shades range from pure white and delicate pastel nuances to earthy stone tones and powerful anthracite. Watercolor transforms your bedroom into a studio of dreams.
The advantages of half-linen
Half-linen combines the properties of two natural fibers to create a harmonious fabric. The pure cotton warp provides elasticity and softness, while the pure linen weft guarantees robustness and durability. This sophisticated construction creates bed linen with exceptional climatic properties: The linen content has a cooling and refreshing effect on warm days, while the cotton retains pleasant warmth on cool nights. The fabric regulates moisture in a natural way – it absorbs it generously and wicks it away quickly without feeling clammy. The antibacterial properties of linen fibers are largely retained in half-linen, while cotton significantly reduces the characteristic linen creasing and simplifies care. At the same time, the better dyeability of cotton enables the watercolor-like color gradients that give the design its name. The price of half-linen is considerably more attractive than that of pure linen, but its durability and longevity are far superior to those of pure cotton bed linen.
Manufacturing tradition since 1853
The art of linen weaving has been cultivated in Ulrichsberg since 1853. What began as a local manufactory in the Upper Austrian Mühlviertel region has developed over five generations into an internationally recognized weaving mill. The Leitner family Leitner family family has never lost touch with traditional craftsmanship: Even today, people are still placed above machines, quality above quantity. Leitner presents its collections at the most important textile trade fairs worldwide – but the manufactory remains manageable and personal. The flexibility to respond to individual wishes, to produce special sizes and to provide expert advice still characterizes Leitner today. Each piece is manufactured with the aim of lasting not just one season, but generations. This attitude is reflected in the choice of materials, the workmanship and the dedication with which each fabric leaves the weaving mill.

Care of your half-linen bed linen
Half-linen bed linen is easy to care for and becomes smoother with every wash. Colored linen can be washed at up to 60°, white at up to 95°. For normal use, 40-60° is sufficient. Avoid detergents with optical brighteners, which take away the linen’s natural depth of color. A certain amount of creasing is part of natural fibers and underlines their authenticity – with half-linen, however, it is much more moderate than with pure linen. For a smoother result, we recommend a drum that is not too full (maximum two thirds) and a maximum spin speed of 1000 revolutions. Half-linen is best ironed at a medium to high temperature as long as there is still residual moisture. Do not use a tumble dryer – gentle air drying preserves the fiber quality for decades.
