Hefel offers mattress toppers in six material variants — each solving a different sleep problem:
TENCEL (Lyocell): The coolest option. Absorbs moisture 50% faster than cotton and releases it to the air. For anyone who perspires at night or sleeps in warm bedrooms. Combined with a Hefel summer duvet, it creates a consistently cool sleep climate from the mattress upward.
Virgin wool (Pure Wool / Bio Wool): The warmest option. Insulates from below, regulates moisture and creates a dry, warm feel. Wool is naturally mite-deterrent. Bio Wool is Fairtrade-certified. Combined with a winter duvet for the full winter system.
Cotton (Pure Cotton): The all-rounder. Not as cool as TENCEL, not as warm as wool — for anyone who wants to use one topper year-round without seasonal swaps.
Cool (TENCEL + PCM): The high-tech variant. Phase Change Material stores excess body heat and returns it when the body cools. For people who alternate between sweating and feeling cold at night — the most common sleep climate problem.
Swiss stone pine (Wellness Zirbe): Stone pine flakes in the fill release essential oils that have a calming effect and can improve sleep quality. For those who want to bring alpine wellness character into the bedroom.
Outlast & Maize: Corn-based fill with Outlast technology — actively regulates temperature, biodegradable. The most sustainable high-tech variant in the range.

The material choice for the topper should match the duvet: TENCEL topper under a TENCEL summer duvet for maximum cooling. Wool topper under a down duvet for maximum warmth. Cool topper under an all-season duvet for year-round balance.

Sizes, Who Benefits Most, and Care

Sizes: All standard mattress sizes from 90x200 cm (single bed) to 200x200 cm (king size). Custom sizes on request. Attachment via elastic corner straps that hook around the mattress — no slipping, even with restless sleep. The topper lies invisibly under the fitted sheet and increases bed height by only 2–3 cm.
Who benefits most: Owners of a sagging mattress — a topper cushions dips and can delay the purchase of a new mattress by years. People who perspire at night — TENCEL and Cool actively regulate moisture. Allergy sufferers — Hefel’s casings form a natural mite barrier, NOMITE-certified.
