Table Dining
A set table tells something about the people who sit at it — and about the materials they choose. In this category you will find tablecloths, table runners, napkins and placemats made from linen and cotton — crafted by Libeco, Geniksa, Hoffmann and Leitner Leinen. From Sunday breakfast to formal dinner, from garden party to business lunch.

Tablecloths form the base: they protect the table surface, dampen noise and define the colour world of the set table. A linen tablecloth in white or natural suits every occasion — from the everyday meal to the formal feast.
Table runners set an accent without covering the entire table. Placed centrally on bare wood or laid over a tablecloth — both variants work. On long tables, a runner creates a visual axis that holds the setting together.
Napkins are the most tangible point of contact at the table. Cloth napkins made from linen feel different from paper — more textured, more substantial. Placed loosely beside the plate after eating rather than folded meticulously, they radiate casual elegance.
Placemats replace the tablecloth in Scandinavian or minimalist style: each place gets its own frame, the table surface remains visible. Ideal for wooden tables you want to show off.
A harmoniously set table does not need a complete set in one colour. Three combination approaches that work:
Tone-on-tone (calm, elegant): Tablecloth, napkins and runner in the same colour family — white and natural, for instance. The different textures of a damask tablecloth and a washed linen runner create depth without looking busy. Geniksa and Libeco offer series whose tones are coordinated.
Contrast (modern, lively): Natural-coloured tablecloth with coloured napkins — or vice versa. Leitner Leinen offers table linen in bold jacquard patterns that work as an accent on a simple base.
Without tablecloth (minimalist): Only placemats and napkins directly on the table. The wood or stone surface becomes part of the staging. Hoffmann’s hemstitched napkins and Libeco placemats complement this look.

Durable
Linen bedding can be washed at low temperatures and becomes softer with each wash.
Breathable
Linen bedding keeps you pleasantly cool in summer and cozy warm in winter. Bedding for all seasons.
Linen is absorbent, dries quickly and becomes softer with every wash — three properties that are in demand daily on the dining table. Spills are absorbed rather than beading, and the lightly textured surface conceals minor stains better than smooth cotton.
The characteristic crumpled look of linen is not a flaw on the table but a style choice. For a smoother appearance, iron slightly damp with steam. For the relaxed look, lay the table linen straight from the wash onto the table.
Our manufacturers offer pure linen as well as linen-cotton blends — less prone to creasing, softer to the touch and available in a broader colour palette. The combination of both materials unites linen’s robustness with cotton’s suppleness.
Wash linen table linen at 40 °C, white variants at up to 60 °C. No fabric softener needed. Treat stains immediately — clear water and mild soap usually suffice. Air dry and iron slightly damp if desired. Full care tips at Care & Durability.
Cloth napkins, tablecloths and runners made from linen replace paper and disposable products — with a lifespan of decades, a decision that pays off ecologically and aesthetically. Linen table linen also bridges beautifully to the bedroom: the same manufacturers — Libeco, Geniksa, Hoffmann — produce our linen bed linen in the same quality, from the same European flax.
