Linen Dog Bed
Most dog beds look like dog beds — and that is precisely the problem. Our linen dog bed from Libeco fits into your living room rather than working against it. In the colours ivory, green, grey and black, with natural linen texture and muted tones, it suits Scandinavian minimalism as well as country house style. Dimensions: 70x70x7 cm.
The size 70x70 cm offers medium to large dogs enough space to stretch out — Golden Retriever, Labrador, Border Collie, German Shepherd or Beagle all find their place here.
For smaller breeds such as Pug, Jack Russell or cats, the same bed is the luxury variant: ample room to roll and turn.
The 7 cm height is deliberately chosen: high enough to insulate the dog from the cold floor and relieve the joints — low enough for older dogs or puppies to step in and out without trouble. The medium-firm filling provides orthopaedic support without being too hard. For dogs with joint problems or seniors, an investment that pays off in calmer nights.
Dogs perspire through their paws and pant — a dog bed must absorb moisture and release it quickly, otherwise it starts to smell. Linen does this better than any other fabric: the flax fibre absorbs moisture and dries quickly, keeping the bed fresh.
Then there is the robustness: linen yarn is tear-resistant, and the reinforced seams at all stress points withstand even boisterous dogs. With normal use, the material shows barely any wear — instead, it becomes softer over time and develops the typical linen character.
The cover can be removed and machine washed at 60 °C — this reliably removes odours, hair and allergens. Air drying preserves the fabric best.
Genuine Craftsmanship
Crafted by people who have learned their trade over generations.
Sustainability
Material, production, people – genuine sustainability. Fabrics traceable to the Atlantic coast.
Durable
Linen bedding can be washed at low temperatures and becomes softer with each wash.
Breathable
Linen bedding keeps you pleasantly cool in summer and cozy warm in winter. Bedding for all seasons.
Between washes, regular brushing or vacuuming is sufficient. Dry dirt is easy to remove because the smooth linen fibre does not hold particles. For heavier soiling, remove the cover and put it in the machine — simpler than with most conventional dog beds, whose fills are not removable.
Libeco also produces our linen bed linen, rugs and bedspreads — for those who value consistent material quality throughout the home, one manufacturer provides everything. Further categories at Kitchen and Bath.
