Description
Railway, parallel lines on a linen table throw
Railway is pure linen, 100 per cent, washed and heavy at 380 grams per square metre. Such weight helps the throw lie still, even when chairs move and elbows rest on it. The yarn has a count of Nm 58, while the plain weave keeps the surface even and dense. Linen also takes up a spilt glass quickly and then releases the moisture again. After a few washes the cloth softens, yet the parallel stripes stay crisp. Fringes at both ends add a casual note, so the table never feels stiff. Six matching napkins complete the place settings. You will find Railway within the Libeco tablecloths collection, next to the other throws from the same family.

Care
Railway goes into the machine at up to 60 degrees, although a lower setting keeps the linen young for longer. Optical brighteners have no place in this wash: they fade natural colours and leave the fabric pale. A half-empty drum suits it well. Spin only briefly and moderately, because linen creases less when some moisture remains. For ironing, pick the hot setting while the cloth still feels a little damp. The tumble dryer, on the other hand, can shrink linen, therefore hang Railway up to dry.
