Natural Linen Tablecloth by Geniksa
The Natural linen tablecloth from Geniksa shows linen at its most candid. Here, too, the flax keeps its own complexion, with no dye laid over it. What you see is the colour of the flax fibre as the plant gave it. European agriculture grows the flax, and skilled hands in the Baltic region weave it. As a result, a dining room of almost any style receives this cloth easily. It also lasts for many years, and durability remains the quietest kind of sustainability.

Nothing added at the loom
At Geniksa, purity means leaving things out. The house prefers a plain, nearly puristic manner, and its reason is simple: a love of nature. Natural, therefore, takes that thought to its end point. There is no dye and no bleach, only undyed flax and a mechanical finish. Linen of this kind convinces through what the eye sees and the hand feels. Geniksa fabrics bear the Masters of Linen label, proof of strict testing and of production carried out solely in Europe. Beyond that, Eco Line and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 rule out harmful substances and chemical treatment. Carbon-neutral weaving on the Baltic Sea completes the picture.

Description

Natural, the undyed linen tablecloth

Weighing 240 g/m², Natural rests on the table with real substance. Along the sides it gathers into clean, regular folds. A yarn fineness of Nm 26 keeps the surface smooth and dense. Dirt therefore finds little hold, and the cloth cleans easily. Meanwhile, mechanical finishing alone gives it a pleasant hand. Because undyed flax keeps to a calm, neutral tone, it welcomes simple earthenware as readily as fine china. For a festive table, combine it with a runner in white or in a muted shade. Placemats and napkins exist as well, and Natural belongs to the Geniksa tablecloths collection.

Care

Natural tolerates washing at up to 60 degrees; 95 remains the limit for white linen alone. Lower temperatures, however, keep any fabric going for longer, and linen is no exception. Above all, avoid optical brighteners, since they would bleach out the very tone that defines this cloth. Never cram the drum full, so the linen has room to turn. Spin it moderately and briefly, and let a little moisture remain to soften the creases. Anyone who irons should choose the linen setting, hot, and press while the cloth is faintly damp.
