The KlimaControl Fair mattress topper from HEFEL fills a fabric of fairly traded cotton with 100 per cent TENCEL. Made from wood cellulose, the fibre adapts to the climate of the night, balancing temperature and moisture alike. Behind the FAIRTRADE seal lie a controlled origin and fair pay for those who grow the cotton. So the topper protects the mattress, and it does so with a clear conscience.

Fair trade, Austrian hands
HEFEL brings fair trade to the mattress with KlimaControl Fair, and it does so from Austria, where the family business has grown over generations. Because the cotton for the cover carries the FAIRTRADE seal, its producers receive fair prices they can invest in their future. The TENCEL inside reflects the house’s long interest in functional fibres. Each topper comes into being individually, and HEFEL checks it by hand before it leaves. A functional box quilting distributes the filling evenly, then holds it there. Thus the care of a family firm reaches the bed in a form that also looks beyond it.

Description

TENCEL filling, fair cotton cover

The quilting spreads the TENCEL filling evenly across the whole surface, at 500 grams per square metre. Because the fibre regulates moisture, the topper keeps the lying surface dry and even without adding bulk. Its fabric of FAIRTRADE cotton feels pleasant on the skin and carries moisture away reliably. Furthermore, the topper absorbs strain that would otherwise reach the mattress, and therefore lengthens its life. It washes at 60 degrees and suits house dust allergy sufferers. With good care it lasts a long time, so the purchase pays off over the years. KlimaControl Fair takes its place in the HEFEL mattress topper collection as the fairly traded option.

Care

KlimaControl Fair takes a 60 degree wash, after which it may go into the tumble dryer. The dryer keeps the TENCEL loose and airy, so the filling returns to the bed as even as before. Since it washes hygienically, sensitive sleepers also rest well on it. Store it in a place with fresh air, because this preserves its shape. Cared for like this, KlimaControl Fair shields the mattress season after season.
