In Austria, HEFEL makes this topper within a family business that has learned its trade across generations. The fitted skirt sets this version apart, because it turns a simple layer into one that sits securely. Sewing such a skirt asks for care at every corner, and the workshop takes that time. Each piece leaves the house only after an individual inspection. Meanwhile, a functional box quilting keeps the cotton filling in its fields, so nothing gathers at one end. The result is cotton with a tailored finish, an Austrian answer to a mattress that never quite stays covered.

Description

Cotton filling and a fitted skirt

The cotton filling takes regular washing and keeps its shape, which makes it a sound choice for allergy sufferers. Since it tolerates 60 degrees, the topper stays hygienic through the years. Its fill weight of 450 grams per square metre gives the mattress a pleasantly flat, fresh surface. Moreover, the skin-friendly fabric moves moisture away quickly, while the filling regulates the climate beneath. Because the skirt holds everything in position, nothing shifts when you turn at night. In this way the topper protects the mattress for a long time. You will find it in the HEFEL mattress topper collection, beside its counterpart with corner bands.

Care

A 60 degree cycle cleans the whole topper, skirt included, and a turn in the tumble dryer afterwards keeps the cotton filling loose. Sensitive sleepers rest easily on it, because it washes so hygienically. When it spends time off the bed, store it somewhere airy, since that helps it hold its form. After washing, draw the skirt back over the mattress corners, and the surface lies smooth again. In return, the bed stays fresh and well kept.
