Hervör is a cotton-linen blend in deep, decisive grey. A fabric with presence, yet soft to the touch. Strong in expression, yet gentle on the skin. For those who want to show character without sacrificing comfort.
A cotton-linen blend combines the best of both worlds: linen’s intelligence with cotton’s softness. The linen content balances temperature—cool in summer, warm in winter. The cotton content makes the fabric supple and cosy from the start. Our cotton-linen fabrics are made of equal parts linen and cotton: 50/50. Not the EU minimum standard of 40%, but an honest half-and-half.
Schlitzer Leinen has been weaving since 1933 in the Hessian town of Schlitz—founded in the year of the World’s Fair “A Century of Progress”. Today, it is the last true linen weaving mill in town, family-run in the third generation. European flax, German processing, every roll of fabric individually inspected. Masters of Linen quality. Made in Europe, from start to finish.

Made exclusively with flax grown in Europe and woven on the Baltic Sea.
Colored linen can be washed up to 60°, white up to 95°. As with all materials: washing at lower temperatures makes it last longer. Avoid detergents with optical brighteners – they bleach out the natural colors. Linen needs sufficient residual moisture to prevent excessive wrinkling. Don’t overfill the machine, don’t spin too vigorously. If you want to iron linen, use the hot temperature setting while it’s still slightly damp. Or: don’t iron at all.
