The Weaving Mill
The origins of Schlitzer Linen date back to 1933 – the year of the Chicago World’s Fair, ‘A Century of Progress’. Geometric clarity, fine materials, a belief in craftsmanship as progress: this spirit inspires our collection. European flax, woven in Europe, every roll of fabric individually inspected – Masters of Linen certified. A design language reminiscent of the great Art Deco era: understated, warm, timeless. For a sheet, we recommend the fine linen flat sheets and fitted sheets by Schlitzer Leinen.

European organic linen

Linen bedding lets your skin breathe better. When it comes to your skin, linen is the perfect fabric. Thanks to its long, smooth fibres, linen absorbs a lot of moisture and repels dirt. Linen is an intelligent fabric because it balances temperatures. Linen provides pleasant coolness in summer and cosy warmth in winter.

The long fibres in linen ensure that linen bed linen stays fresh for much longer. The linen fabric has been treated using purely mechanical methods and is therefore very soft and gentle on the skin. Linen treated in this way creases less, whilst retaining its natural qualities and all the benefits of linen. Geniksa is firmly committed to organic linen and to absolute sustainability at every stage of production. Geniksa linen bedding is certified according to Oeko Tex Standard 100.

Care Instructions

Colored linen can be washed up to 60°, white up to 95°. As with all materials: washing at lower temperatures makes it last longer. Avoid detergents with optical brighteners – they bleach out the natural colors. Linen needs sufficient residual moisture to prevent excessive wrinkling. Don’t overfill the machine, don’t spin too vigorously. If you want to iron linen, use the hot temperature setting while it’s still slightly damp. Or: don’t iron at all. The natural crinkled look is part of linen
