The Belgian Table Throw Ioulida Pure Linen by Libeco. The designer says: “We present The Belgian Table Throw. We are particularly proud of this new product. The design is inspired by ‘The Belgian Towel’ but specifically conceived as table linen. Thanks to the hard-wearing plain weave, this tablecloth can also be machine-washed. It does not cover the entire table, so that both the piece of furniture and the beautiful linen tablecloth come into their own. On the flax-coloured base, there are two stripes of different widths towards the ends in leather brown, blue and mustard yellow. The fringed edges at both ends complete the design.”

Care Instructions

Coloured linen can be washed at up to 60°C, white at up to 95°C. As with all materials, the same applies to linen: washing at lower temperatures extends its life. What linen cannot tolerate are detergents with optical brighteners – they bleach out the natural colours significantly and the fabric becomes pale. Creasing: linen needs sufficient residual moisture so that it does not crease too much. Do not overload the machine so that the fabric can move freely, and do not spin linen laundry too hard or too long. If you wish to iron linen, iron the pieces on the hot temperature setting of your iron while they are still slightly damp. Even though it may be convenient: avoid drying linen in the tumble dryer. Over-drying can cause shrinkage.
