Description
“Fine Linen – Classic White Pure Linen Bed Linen by Hoffmann”
Linen of the absolute top class
Beautifully fine linen made from pure linen. The classic white pure linen bed linen is the signature piece of the Hoffmann linen weaving mill. This bed linen has a quality that is practically impossible to find today. While the general trend moves towards ever finer and thinner yarns, Hoffmann works with a yarn thickness that our grandmothers knew from the finest trousseau textiles. Anyone who has been fortunate enough to inherit such pieces knows how long this quality lasts.
Linen bed linen lets your skin breathe better. When it comes to our skin, linen is the perfect fabric. Thanks to its long, smooth fibres, linen absorbs a great deal of moisture and repels dirt. Linen is an intelligent fabric because it balances temperatures. Linen provides pleasant coolness in summer and creates cosy warmth in winter. The long linen fibres ensure that linen bed linen stays fresh for much longer. The linen fabric has been treated purely mechanically and is therefore very soft and skin-friendly. Linen treated in this way creases less while preserving the naturalness and all the benefits of linen.
As a bed sheet, we recommend the fine, pure white or natural linen-coloured linen sheets and fitted sheets from the Hoffmann linen weaving mill.

The Manufactory
In Upper Lusatia, the triangle of land between Saxony, Bohemia and Silesia, flax has been cultivated for centuries. From it, all manner of linen has been produced, from coarse sacking to the finest linen damask. The fine qualities of the Hoffmann weaving mill in particular have enjoyed great popularity far beyond the borders of Germany. Today, the Hoffmann linen weaving mill, as one of the few remaining German weaving mills still in operation, cultivates this traditional craftsmanship with quality as its highest priority.
Care Instructions
Coloured linen can be washed at up to 60°C, white linen at up to 95°C. As with all materials, washing at lower temperatures makes it last longer. What linen does not tolerate are detergents with optical brighteners – they bleach out the natural colours and the fabric becomes pale.
Linen needs sufficient residual moisture so that it does not crease. Do not overfill the machine so that the fabric can move freely, and do not spin linen too hard or for too long. If you wish to iron linen, iron the items on the hot linen setting of your iron while they are still slightly damp.
As convenient as it may be: avoid drying linen in a tumble dryer. Over-drying can cause it to shrink.
