European organic linen

Linen bed linen allows the skin to breathe better. When it comes to our skin, linen is the perfect fabric. Due to its long, smooth fibers, linen absorbs a lot of moisture and repels dirt. Linen is an intelligent fabric because linen balances out temperatures. Linen ensures a pleasant coolness in summer and creates cozy warmth in winter. The long linen fibers ensure that linen bed linen stays fresh for much longer. The linen fabric has been treated purely mechanically and is therefore very soft and skin-friendly. Linen treated in this way creases less and retains the naturalness and all the advantages of linen. Vieböck is convinced of organic linen and unconditional sustainability in all stages of production, so the creation of certified linen bed linen in accordance with the GOTS standard was a completely natural step.

The Weaving Mill

Vieböck has been weaving linen and cotton fabrics for more than 185 years, both in traditional Mühlviertel patterns and in modern designs. This makes them one of the oldest and most traditional companies in Austria. The International Association of the Natural Textile Industry has awarded Vieböck both GOTS and IVN BEST certification. This guarantees the highest demands on textiles in ecological and socially responsible standards.
At Vieböck, these more than 180 years of tradition are combined with modern ideas such as ecology, sustainability and product clarity. The linen yarns come exclusively from environmentally friendly and sustainable cultivation in Europe (France, Belgium and Holland). The finishing is purely mechanical and natural, the fabrics are dyed with reactive dyes and vegetable dyes in Lower Austria. Christine and Carmen lovingly sew this bed linen exclusively for you. All Vieböck fabrics are woven exclusively in Helfenberg.

Care Instructions

Colored linen can be washed up to 60°, white up to 95°. As with all materials, the same applies to linen: it will last longer if washed at a lower temperature. What linen does not tolerate are detergents with optical brighteners, they bleach out the natural colors and the fabric becomes light Wrinkling: Linen needs sufficient residual moisture so that it does not wrinkle so much. Do not overload the machine so that the fabric can move, do not spin linen too hard or for too long. If you want to iron linen, iron the items on the hot linen setting of your iron when they are still a little damp. Even if it is convenient: avoid drying linen in the dryer. Overdrying can cause it to shrink
