The Weaving Mill

Schlitzer Leinen has been weaving in the Hessian town of Schlitz since 1933 – founded in the year of the World’s Fair “A Century of Progress”. Today the last authentic linen weaving mill in town, family-run in its third generation. European flax, German craftsmanship, each fabric roll individually inspected. Masters of Linen quality. Care Instructions

Colored linen can be washed up to 60°, white up to 95°. As with all materials: washing at lower temperatures makes it last longer. Avoid detergents with optical brighteners – they bleach out the natural colors. Linen needs sufficient residual moisture to prevent excessive wrinkling. Don’t overfill the machine, don’t spin too vigorously. If you want to iron linen, use the hot temperature setting while it’s still slightly damp. Or: don’t iron at all.
