Linen Towels

Four Sizes for Every Purpose

Guest towel (50x90 cm): Compact, elegant, perfect for the guest bathroom or as a hand towel at the washbasin. Hung in a decorative colour, it doubles as an eye-catcher.
Hand towel (70x140 cm): The all-rounder for hands and face. The standard size that fits every bathroom.
Bath towel (100x150 or 100x180 cm): Generously sized for after showering or bathing. Linen lies pleasantly cool on the skin — a feeling that terry cannot provide.
Bath mat (50x80 or 70x140 cm): Absorbent enough to keep water off the bathroom floor and quick-drying so no moisture builds up.
All sizes are pre-washed — absorbency is fully available from the first use, and shrinkage is not an issue.

Three Weave Types — One Material

Libeco produces linen towels in three styles that differ significantly in feel and appearance:
Smooth linen: The classic, cool linen feel. The surface is evenly woven, lightly textured and dries the fastest. Ideal for anyone who prefers the purist linen sensation.
Stonewashed: Washed with stones after weaving — this makes the fabric soft from the start and gives it a casual, lived-in look. For those who don’t want to wait for linen to develop its character, stonewashed is the choice.
Waffle piqué: The linen version of terry. The honeycomb weave enlarges the surface area and thus the absorbency. Feels more voluminous than smooth linen but dries just as quickly. The most popular choice for the bathroom.
All three variants are available in around 30 colour combinations — from white and natural through muted pastels to bold navy blue.

Not Just for the Bathroom

Linen towels are lighter and more compact than terry — which makes them versatile:
As a travel towel: small packing volume, quick drying in the hotel room. No comparison to the heavy terry towel in the suitcase.
In the sauna and spa: high absorbency, hygienic thanks to fast drying, pleasantly cool on heated skin.
As a beach towel: dries in the wind faster than cotton, picks up barely any sand and looks better than any bath towel while doing so.

Care and Related Categories

Wash at 40–60 °C, without fabric softener. Tumble dryer at medium temperature possible, air drying is gentler on the fibres. The colours remain stable even after many washes — Libeco uses yarn-dyed threads, not piece-dyeing. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. Full care tips at Care & Durability.
