Some call it a plaid, others just a blanket. Either way, it’s a real all-rounder!
Sometimes it’s hot in Germany in summer, not only during the day when the sun is shining, but also at night—then the temperatures plummet and cool rain falls from the sky. So how can you sleep better? Plaids (or blankets) are super practical. Placed on top of the duvet, they keep you cozy and warm. Without a duvet, they are a great companion on hot nights. Francis from the Belgian linen weaving mill Libeco, for example
The Francis collection combines various stripes, designs, and yarns to create a harmonious whole. The focus is on a plain weave in black and flax. On one side, this is complemented by fine stripes in the same colors, while the other side is completely flax-colored with a single black stripe. There are flax-colored fringes at both ends. The design of the decorative pillowcase is based on that of the plaid. The mini bag has the same plain weave in black and flax with two thin flax-colored stripes on each side.

Available as a throw (140x220 cm) and decorative pillowcase (63x63 cm).
Linen acts as a natural air conditioner by absorbing heat released by the body through perspiration and releasing it into the air. However, cold does not penetrate the long-staple fibers. This keeps the sleeper at a comfortable temperature, regardless of how the weather fluctuates. In addition, linen bedding has an anti-allergenic effect and is dirt-repellent. Together with the tips mentioned a few weeks ago, this means that pretty much any weather can be weathered well in what has become an unpredictable Germany.
