Gypsum, stripes in twill on table and runner

Gypsum uses pure linen at just 225 grams per square metre, washed before it ever reaches a table. Despite that lightness, the twill weave gives the cloth a supple drape and a discreet lustre. Linen also lets many spills bead off its smooth fibre, which keeps the ecru ground fresh for longer. Few table collections offer this many formats: three tablecloths, runners in pairs, napkins and even towels. Consequently, a single stripe can run from the dining table into the kitchen. The large square of 175 x 175 cm suits a round table especially well. Gypsum completes the Libeco tablecloths collection as a stripe that agrees with almost everything around it.

Care

Gypsum tolerates 60 degrees, but moderate temperatures help the stripes and the twill last longer. Detergents with optical brighteners have no business here, because they bleach the sage and old rose. Leave the drum half full. Spin the linen softly and only for a short time, so that it keeps some moisture against creasing. For a smooth finish, iron on the hot linen setting, ideally while the cloth is still a little damp. Dry it on the line instead of the tumble dryer, which can make linen shrink.
