Description
“Lys Linen Coverlet and Cushion by Libeco”
The Lys Linen Coverlet and Cushion by Libeco is a design in rich, earthy colours. The designer says: “All these rich colours steer things in a new direction, the flair is more reminiscent of a lake. There is something grounded and lasting about it. Then I found the location for the photoshoot and suddenly everything fell into place. It was an old restaurant where the original elements had been preserved and beautifully highlighted during renovation. A leather-brown shade had been chosen for the paint. Together with the old floors and mirrors, this wonderful colour created a romantic vintage ambience – without knowing it, I had been looking for exactly that! Join us on the riverbank of the Leie, Near The Bend.”
“This bedspread was designed to complement the ‘Swimmers Stripe’ collection, but also pairs fabulously with ‘Workshop Stripe’, ‘Canal Stripe’ and the solid-coloured fabrics of the ‘Madison’ collection. It is a medium-weight construction with a centre seam and fringed edges at head and foot. Two different stripes run across the full width of the bedspread towards the head and foot ends. The broader stripe is composed of fir green, leather brown, dusty pink and mustard components. The narrower stripe features fir green, dusty pink and bone.”
European Organic Linen
Linen bed linen lets your skin breathe better. When it comes to our skin, linen is the perfect fabric. Thanks to its long, smooth fibres, linen absorbs a great deal of moisture and repels dirt. Linen is an intelligent fabric because it regulates temperature. Linen provides pleasant coolness in summer and cosy warmth in winter. The long linen fibres ensure that linen bed linen stays fresh much longer. The linen fabric has been treated purely mechanically, making it very supple and kind to the skin. Linen treated in this way creases less while preserving its natural quality and all the advantages of linen. Libeco is committed to organic linen and uncompromising sustainability in every step of production, and the creation of GOTS-certified linen bed linen in the Heritage collection was a logical next step.

Care
Coloured linen can be washed at up to 60°C, white linen at up to 95°C. As with all materials, the same applies to linen: washing at lower temperatures extends its life. Linen does not tolerate detergents with optical brighteners, as they strongly bleach the natural colours and the fabric becomes pale. Creasing: linen needs sufficient residual moisture to prevent excessive creasing. Do not overload the machine so the fabric can move freely, and do not spin linen too hard or too long. If you wish to iron linen, iron the pieces on the hot linen setting of your iron while they are still slightly damp. Even if it is convenient, avoid tumble-drying linen. Over-drying can cause shrinkage.
