White half-linen bed linen from the Hoffmann linen weaving mill
Top-tier linen bed linen Classic white half-linen bed linen from the Hoffmann linen weaving mill. The pure white half-linen bed linen is a classic from the Hoffmann linen weaving mill. Linen bed linen from Leinenweberei Hoffmann has graced the first class cabins of the Lusitania and the Titanic, the suites of the Adlon and the Ritz. This bed linen has a quality that is practically unheard of. While the general trend is towards ever finer and thinner yarns, the Hoffmann company works with a yarn thickness that our grandmothers knew from the best dowry textiles. Anyone who has inherited something like this knows how long this quality lasts.

The Weaving Mill
Linen bed linen from the Hoffmann linen weaving mill has already adorned the luxury cabins of the large ocean liner Queen Mary or the Andrea Doria, the suites of the Waldorf Astoria and the Atlantic. Flax has been grown in Upper Lusatia, the triangle of land between Saxony, Bohemia and Silesia, for centuries. It has been used to produce all kinds of linen, from coarse sack cloth to the finest linen damask. Today, the Hoffmann linen weaving mill is one of the few German weaving mills still in operation, which cultivates old craftsmanship and makes quality its top priority.

Description

European organic linen

Linen bed linen allows the skin to breathe more easily. When it comes to our skin, linen is the perfect fabric. Thanks to its long, smooth fibres, linen absorbs a lot of moisture and repels dirt. Linen is a clever fabric because it regulates temperature. Linen provides pleasant coolness in summer and cosy warmth in winter. The long linen fibres ensure that linen bed linen stays fresh for much longer. The linen fabric has been treated purely mechanically and is therefore very soft and skin-friendly. Linen treated in this way creases less whilst retaining its natural qualities and all the benefits of linen.

We recommend the fine, pure white or natural linen-colored linen sheets and fitted sheets from Leinenweberei Hoffmann.

Care Instructions

Colored linen can be washed up to 60°, white up to 95°. As with all materials, linen will last longer if washed at a lower temperature. What linen does not tolerate are detergents with optical brighteners, they bleach out the natural colors and the fabric becomes light.
Linen needs sufficient residual moisture so that it does not crease. Do not overload the machine so that the fabric can move, do not spin linen too hard or for too long. If you want to iron linen, iron the items on the hot linen temperature setting of your iron when they are still a little damp.
