White Linen Bed Linen
White linen bed linen is the classic — and with linen, more than an aesthetic choice. White linen can be washed at up to 95 °C, which no coloured variant allows. For allergy sufferers: maximum hygiene without chemicals. Available from Libeco, Geniksa, Hoffmann and Schlitzer Leinen. More on Linen Bed Linen.

Brilliant white (optically brightened): Classic, clean, hotel-grade. Libeco Heritage White and Hoffmann’s damask line. Reflects light, makes rooms appear larger.
Cream white (warm): Softer, warmer, less sterile. Geniksa works frequently with this tone — fits rooms with wood furniture and earth tones.
Natural white (unbleached): The most authentic — a light grey-beige showing the natural flax colour. Not chemically brightened, most sustainable. Varies slightly by harvest — each set unique.
White linen tolerates 95 °C — kills dust mites, bacteria and germs without chemicals. White linen is undyed, so it contains no textile dyes that could irritate sensitive skin. Unlike cotton, linen does not yellow over time when properly cared for.
Coloured linen bed linen washes at 40 °C, dark colours at 30 °C. Care at Care & Durability.

Sustainability
Material, production, people – genuine sustainability. Fabrics traceable to the Atlantic coast.
Durable
Linen bedding can be washed at low temperatures and becomes softer with each wash.
Breathable
Linen bedding keeps you pleasantly cool in summer and cozy warm in winter. Bedding for all seasons.
White linen has a practical advantage over all other colours: it can withstand washing temperatures of up to 95 °C. This reliably kills dust mites, bacteria and germs — without the need for disinfectants or special detergents.
This is important for allergy sufferers: white linen bed linen is undyed, so it contains no textile dyes that could cause further irritation. Combined with the dense weave, which makes it difficult for fine dust and pollen to penetrate, this creates a sleeping environment that contains fewer potential triggers than coloured alternatives.
Coloured linen bedding should be washed at a maximum of 60°C — this is also sufficiently hygienic, but the difference compared to 95°C can make all the difference for those with severe allergies. You can find detailed care tips under Care & Durability.
