Hoffmann tablecloths are pure linen damask with hemstitch finishing — Jacquard patterns woven directly into the fabric, not printed. The damask lustre is created by alternating warp and weft surfaces and grows subtler with every wash. Handcrafted in Lusatia. Overview: Hoffmann.
Pure linen damask: The lustre is created by alternating warp and weft surfaces in the jacquard process. In the light, the patterns shimmer subtly — depending on the viewing angle, the design emerges or disappears. No other manufacturer at Linen Lounge offers damask tablecloths in pure linen.
Hemstitch: Threads drawn from the fabric, the remaining ones bundled together. The openwork border gives the tablecloth a formal frame — a match for silver and porcelain.
Stripes and checks: For everyday use. Heavy linen that lies flat and stays in place.
Hoffmann tablecloths pair with linen napkins and table runners — a damask cloth with plain napkins or the other way around. Mixing pattern and plain creates depth without excess.
