Description
“Freya Linen Blend Bedding by Schlitzer Leinen”
Freya is our linen blend in a natural, undyed tone – warm and inviting from the very first touch. The cotton makes the fabric immediately soft and supple. The linen gives it character and breathability. For those who do not wish to wait for a fabric to settle in.
Linen Blend – The Best of Both Worlds
Linen blend combines the best of both worlds: the intelligence of linen with the softness of cotton. The linen content ensures temperature regulation – cool in summer, warm in winter. The cotton content makes the fabric smooth and supple from the start. Our linen blend fabrics consist of equal parts linen and cotton: 50/50. Not the EU minimum standard of 40 percent, but an honest half-and-half.
The Weaving Mill
Schlitzer Leinen has been weaving in the Hessian town of Schlitz since 1933 – founded in the year of the “A Century of Progress” World’s Fair. Today, it is the last true linen weaving mill in the area, family-run in its third generation. European flax, German processing, each fabric roll individually inspected. Masters of Linen Quality. Made in Europe, from start to finish.
For a sheet, we recommend the fine linen flat sheets and fitted sheets by Schlitzer Leinen.

Care Instructions
Coloured linen can be washed up to 60°C, white up to 95°C. As with all materials: washing at lower temperatures makes it last longer. Avoid detergents with optical brighteners—they bleach out natural colours. Linen needs sufficient residual moisture so it does not wrinkle heavily. Do not overfill the machine and do not spin too hard. If you want to iron linen, use the hot setting while it is still slightly damp. Or: not at all. The natural crinkle look is part of linen.
