The Pure Maize pillow takes renewable maize fibre as its filling, a plant-based alternative to animal materials. The fibre keeps its shape and its loft over many washes. Around it, a TENCEL fine satin manages moisture at a high level. Cool and dry, the head rests through the night. Sleep needs nothing more.

The vegan member of the Pure line
Pure Maize is the vegan pillow of HEFEL’s Pure line, and its makers form an Austrian family business that several generations have built. There, renewable raw materials have found an innovative use. Each piece receives its own attention, since HEFEL checks every pillow by hand. A dermatological test stands behind it as well. Its makers think of allergy sufferers and sensitive skin. Maize suits that thought: light, plant-based and antibacterial. Thus the care of a family company finds its way into the bed.

Description

Pure Maize, a plant-based filling

Maize fibre makes the pillow vegan and friendly to allergy sufferers. It washes at 60 degrees, while a dermatological test and antibacterial properties complete the picture. At the head, the filling balances temperature, then guides moisture outward. The cover feels pleasant and carries that moisture on reliably. Softly yielding, the pillow still never lets the head sink through. It stays a loyal companion over many nights, especially when the night grows long. Pure Maize is part of the HEFEL pillows collection, beside Pure Bamboo and Pure Silk.

Care

After washing at 60 degrees, Pure Maize may go straight into the tumble dryer, which keeps the filling light. Its fibre holds form and loft through many such cycles. Sensitive sleepers can rely on it, since it has passed a dermatological test. Store it airily, never compressed, so that it retains its shape. Over a long time it remains a pillow you hardly need to think about.
