Batsi pure linen by Libeco
Batsi linen table linen by Libeco is the collection that breaks the mold – in the best way. While Andros, Noa, and The Indigo Stripe rely on stripes, Batsi brings a plaid pattern to the table reminiscent of wool blankets in a country house, yet woven from pure Belgian linen. Warm sienna brown, off-white, deep indigo, and a fine green thread that runs almost invisibly through the fabric – this check has nothing rustic about it, but rather a warmth you feel immediately. The open fringes enhance the impression of a fabric that has already lived through stories before it even reaches the table. What Batsi does particularly well: transforming a room. Where the striped collections emphasize the table, Batsi creates an atmosphere. An autumnal Sunday brunch, a candlelit dinner, a set table in the garden – this pattern carries every mood without ever feeling commonplace. The fabric is heavier than it looks and sits on the table with a naturalness that only linen can provide. Woven in Belgium, washed, and featuring a plaid pattern that grows softer with every wash, as if it had always been there. Available as Pièce de Lin in three sizes and as a set of 6 napkins.

In 2006, Libeco received a knighthood from the Belgian royal family: “Belgian Royal Warrant Holder” is the impressive recognition of the quality of this linen. The “Belgian Linen” quality seal is the guarantee of a quality product in accordance with all the rules of sustainable management. All Libeco fabrics bear the coveted “Masters of Linen” label. This guarantees that the fabrics have been tested to meet the extremely high requirements of this master class and that they are manufactured exclusively in Europe. “Eco Line” and “Oeko-Tex” provide the assurance that Libeco fabrics are free from harmful substances and that they have not been treated, bleached or dyed with chemicals. We recommend the fine Heritage linen sheets and fitted sheets from Libeco.

European organic linen

Linen bed linen allows the skin to breathe better. When it comes to our skin, linen is the perfect fabric. Due to its long, smooth fibers, linen absorbs a lot of moisture and repels dirt. Linen is an intelligent fabric because linen balances out temperatures. Linen keeps you pleasantly cool in summer and cozy and warm in winter. The long linen fibers ensure that linen bed linen stays fresh for much longer. The linen fabric has been treated purely mechanically and is therefore very soft and skin-friendly. Linen treated in this way creases less and retains the naturalness and all the advantages of linen. Libeco is convinced of organic linen and unconditional sustainability in all stages of production, so the creation of certified linen bed linen according to the GOTS standard in the Heritage collection was a logical next step.

Care Instructions

Colored linen can be washed up to 60°, white up to 95°. As with all materials, linen will last longer if washed at a lower temperature. What linen does not tolerate are detergents with optical brighteners, they bleach out the natural colors and the fabric becomes light Wrinkling: Linen needs sufficient residual moisture so that it does not wrinkle so much. Do not overload the machine so that the fabric can move, do not spin linen too hard or for too long. If you want to iron linen, iron the items on the hot linen setting of your iron when they are still a little damp. Even if it is convenient: avoid drying linen in the dryer. Overdrying can cause it to shrink.
