Marina Stripe pure linen by Libeco

Marina Stripe linen table linen by Libeco is the collection for those who love stripes but don’t want their table to look like a yacht club. Marina Stripe takes the maritime theme and translates it into a language that works in a city apartment: wide bands in indigo, natural white, and warm cognac that run across the entire fabric without ever becoming too loud. What makes it special is the width of the stripes – it gives the pattern a generosity that narrow pinstripes never achieve. You can see immediately: someone has worked with proportions here, not with effects. Where Andros and Noa distribute their colors across the surface, Marina Stripe relies on the rhythm of repetition – and on the effect created when a pattern falls just right over the table edge. Add to this placemats in the same design that structure the table individually or as a set, without having to spread out a large tablecloth. Casually set, yet thoughtful – exactly the kind of table where you end up sitting longer than planned. In 2006, Libeco received a knighthood from the Belgian royal family: “Belgian Royal Warrant Holder” is the impressive recognition of the quality of this linen. The “Belgian Linen” quality seal is the guarantee of a quality product in accordance with all the rules of sustainable management. All Libeco fabrics bear the coveted “Masters of Linen” label. This guarantees that the fabrics have been tested to meet the extremely high requirements of this master class and that they are manufactured exclusively in Europe. “Eco Line” and “Oeko-Tex” provide the assurance that Libeco fabrics are free from harmful substances and that they have not been treated, bleached or dyed with chemicals. We recommend the fine Heritage linen sheets and fitted sheets from Libeco.

European organic linen

Linen bed linen allows the skin to breathe better. When it comes to our skin, linen is the perfect fabric. Due to its long, smooth fibers, linen absorbs a lot of moisture and repels dirt. Linen is an intelligent fabric because linen balances out temperatures. Linen ensures a pleasant coolness in summer and creates cozy warmth in winter. The long linen fibers ensure that linen bed linen stays fresh for much longer. The linen fabric has been treated purely mechanically and is therefore very soft and skin-friendly. Linen treated in this way creases less and retains the naturalness and all the advantages of linen. Libeco is convinced of organic linen and unconditional sustainability in all stages of production, so the creation of certified linen bed linen according to the GOTS standard in the Heritage collection was a logical next step.

Care Instructions

Colored linen can be washed up to 60°, white up to 95°. As with all materials, linen will last longer if washed at a lower temperature. What linen does not tolerate are detergents with optical brighteners, they bleach out the natural colors and the fabric becomes light Wrinkling: Linen needs sufficient residual moisture so that it does not wrinkle so much. Do not overload the machine so that the fabric can move, do not spin linen too hard or for too long. If you want to iron linen, iron the items on the hot linen setting of your iron when they are still a little damp. Even if it is convenient: avoid drying linen in the dryer. Overdrying can cause it to shrink.
