Warmth that doesn’t weigh you down: Hefel winter duvets — warmth class 4–5 — keep you warm even on the coldest nights without lying heavy on the body. Down duvets trap air efficiently and feel weightless; virgin wool and cashmere provide outstanding insulation. All NOMITE certified. Overview: Hefel.

Down: The best warmth-to-weight ratio of all fill materials. Hefel’s down duvets come in four quality levels — from Soft Down (entry point) to Platinum Down (the absolute pinnacle). For winter, in a higher fill weight than the summer variants.
Cashmere: Warmer than virgin wool at a lower weight. Hefel’s cashmere winter duvet is the most luxurious option — a material considered a luxury in clothing, brought to the bed by Hefel.
Camel hair: Excellent thermoregulation. Camel hair retains warmth without trapping moisture — relevant for those who perspire at night yet still feel cold.
Virgin wool: The robust classic. Fairtrade-certified at Hefel, sourced from smallholder farmers. Heavier than down, but with a full, enveloping weight that some sleepers find soothing.
The winter duvet provides the warmth — the linen duvet cover on top regulates moisture. This combination prevents the typical winter problem: sweating under the duvet, cold feet, kicking the duvet off, freezing, pulling it back.
Beneath it, a mattress topper in virgin wool — insulating from below and protecting the mattress from moisture. A down or wool pillow completes the warmth system at the head.
For the transitional period between autumn and winter, the all-season duvet is recommended.
Winter duvets with natural fills (down, wool, cashmere) should be professionally cleaned or washed at a maximum of 60 °C (check the label). Tumble dry down duvets with tennis balls to restore loft. Air regularly. Store in breathable linen bags, never in plastic. Tips at Care & Durability.
