Description
“1000TC Sateen fitted sheet from Peter Reed”
1000TC Sateen Fitted Sheet by Peter Reed. Feel like royalty in bed with linens from the traditional English weaver Peter Reed. Three Row Cord with 1000 threads per square inch. Peter Reed sateen bedding is made exclusively from specially selected, high-quality combed yarns. Before spinning, special combs remove shorter cotton fibers. Dadurch stellt Peter Reed sicher, dass die Garne nur aus den längsten Fasern der Baumwollernte gesponnen werden. Our high-quality fitted sheets are the basis for a perfectly made bed – the Peter Reed sheet combines functionality with natural beauty. Egyptian cotton, one of the world’s oldest textile fibers, impresses with special properties that make it an excellent choice.
The Weaving Mill
Since 1880, Peter Reed has been the supplier to the English royal family, as “Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen”. This title as a manufacturer of bed linen was impressively renewed in January 2008. This is an honor to be very proud of.
Peter Reed has been manufacturing in Lancashire since 1861 and is traditionally synonymous with English excellence and luxury. Peter Reed is one of the few factories to have been operating in the UK for over a century. The founder, Peter William Reed, was a farmer in Barley on the slopes of Pendle Hill in Lancashire (where the last known witches lived).

- Soft but hard-wearing cloth
- Thread density of 400 threads per inch (percale)
- available as fitted sheet
- Bed linen from Peter Reed is always made to measure and is only made to order for customers.
The unrivaled long staple length, the fine combing of the cotton, the high thread count and the very special weaving of the edges result in an extremely soft but hard-wearing cloth. Generous hems, cord seams, double topstitching and safety stitching for durability. ‘Oxford style’ pillowcases sewn with traditional mitred corners throughout.
The cotton used to make Peter Reed bed linen comes directly from the Egyptian Nile Delta. This area, with its rich alluvial soil and natural humidity, produces a unique and lustrous cotton growth that is one of the best fibers in the world. Egyptian cotton is ideal for use in bed linen as it “breathes”, is dust-free and still thrives better with frequent washing and use.
Care Instructions
Colored bed linen made of long-staple cotton can be washed up to 60°, white up to 95°. As with all materials, the same applies to long-staple cotton: it will last longer if washed at a lower temperature. What the material does not like are detergents with optical brighteners, they bleach the colors strongly and the fabric becomes light. Creasing: Long-staple cotton likes sufficient residual moisture. Do not pack the machine too full so that the fabric can move, do not spin the laundry too hard or for too long. If you want to iron it, iron the items on the cotton setting of your iron when they are still a little damp.
