What makes this piece special

Confusion pure linen from Leitner Leinen combines contemporary geometry with the cultivated calm of pure linen. The artfully woven jacquard design sets the scene for a dynamic interplay of lines, surfaces and overlaps, which rearranges itself depending on the incidence of light and gives the fabric the modern tension that characterizes Confusion. Made from 100% European organic linen in a sophisticated jacquard linen weave, Confusion combines clear modernity with the natural benefits of linen fibers: a smooth surface, high breathability, antistatic properties and a patina that gains character over time. Available in expressive, contemporary shades and woven in a CO₂-neutral way in Austria, Confusion stands for sustainable quality, textile precision and bed linen that harmoniously combines architectural rigor and soothing simplicity.

Confusion pure linen bed linen from Leitner Leinen

Confusion – a name that deliberately irritates and invites close observation. This design is pure present: lines cross seemingly at random, geometric forms overlay one another, order and chaos dance a contemporary dialogue. What appears confusing at first glance reveals itself as a highly complex composition – a visual puzzle that never grows tedious. The aesthetic recalls modern architectural drawings, the dynamism of urban life. Here there is no Baroque symmetry, no Renaissance tendrils, but contemporary formal language in its purest form. The pattern works like an optical game: depending on the angle of light, new structures and new connections reveal themselves. The colour palette underscores the modern character. Confusion transforms your bedroom into a place of contemporary aesthetics, where design meets craft and tradition meets innovation.

Manufactory since 1853

In the Upper Austrian Mühlviertel, in the town of Ulrichsberg near the Böhmerwald, lies the Leitner weaving mill. Since 1853, the art of linen processing has been passed down here from generation to generation. What once began as a small weaving mill is today a manufactory with international renown – represented at the leading textile fairs in Paris, Milan and New York. The success is founded on the combination of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. At Leitner, no mass products are created, but thoughtfully conceived collections in which experience and precision come together. As a manufactory, Leitner offers the flexibility to respond to individual wishes: custom sizes for exceptional bed dimensions are as much part of the service as personal advice. Every duvet cover, every pillowcase is crafted with the awareness that true quality must endure – for years, for decades, for generations.

The benefits of European organic linen

Linen has combined tradition with timeless comfort for thousands of years – a material that suits all eras and styles. The exceptionally long fibers of European flax make linen the ideal fabric for bed linen: the surface feels pleasantly cool, while the material regulates the temperature in a natural way. At the height of summer, linen provides refreshing coolness, while on cold nights it provides cozy warmth. Linen owes this climate regulation to its unique fiber structure – permeable to air and able to absorb considerable amounts of moisture without feeling damp. The result is an optimal bed climate that promotes restful sleep. The smooth, long fibers are exceptionally skin-friendly and become softer with every wash. At the same time, linen is remarkably robust and durable. Leitner only uses organic linen from European cultivation areas – sustainably produced, free of harmful substances and of the highest quality.

Manufactory since 1853

In the Upper Austrian Mühlviertel, in the village of Ulrichsberg near the Bohemian Forest, lies the weaving mill Leitner. The art of linen processing has been passed down from generation to generation here since 1853. What once began as a small weaving mill is now a manufactory with an international reputation – represented at the leading textile trade fairs in Paris, Milan and New York. Its success is based on the combination of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. Leitner does not produce mass-produced items, but well thought-out collections that combine experience and precision. As a manufactory, Leitner offers the flexibility to respond to individual wishes: Special sizes for unusual bed dimensions are just as much a part of the service as personal advice. Every comforter cover and every pillowcase is made with the awareness that genuine quality must endure – for years, for decades, for generations.

Caring for your linen bedding

High-quality linen bedding is easy to care for and develops an increasingly pleasant softness over time. Colored linen can be washed at up to 60°, white bed linen can withstand 95°. In everyday life, 40-60° is completely sufficient for perfect hygiene. Do not use detergents with optical brighteners – these reduce the natural color intensity of the linen. The slight creasing is characteristic of linen and emphasizes the naturalness of the material. For a smoother result: Fill the washing drum to a maximum of two thirds full and limit the spin speed to 800-1000 revolutions. Ironing is optional – if desired, on the highest setting with slight residual moisture. Do not use a tumble dryer: air drying is gentler on the material, preserves the fiber quality and considerably extends the life of your bed linen.
