European Linen

Bed linen made from linen lets the skin breathe better. When it comes to our skin, linen is the perfect fabric. Thanks to its long, smooth fibres, linen absorbs a great deal of moisture and repels dirt. Linen is an intelligent fabric, as it equalises temperatures. Linen provides pleasant coolness in summer and creates cosy warmth in winter. The long linen fibres ensure that linen bed linen stays fresh for much longer. The linen fabric has been treated purely mechanically and is therefore very soft and gentle on the skin. Linen treated in this way creases less while preserving its natural character and all the advantages of linen. Libeco is committed to organic linen and absolute sustainability in every production step, and so the creation of GOTS-certified linen bed linen was a logical next step for the collection.

Care Instructions

Coloured linen can be washed at up to 60°C, white at up to 95°C. As with all materials, the same applies to linen: washing at lower temperatures extends its life. What linen cannot tolerate are detergents with optical brighteners – they bleach out the natural colours significantly and the fabric becomes pale. Creasing: linen needs sufficient residual moisture so that it does not crease too much. Do not overload the machine so that the fabric can move freely, and do not spin linen laundry too hard or too long. If you wish to iron linen, iron the pieces on the hot linen setting of your iron while they are still slightly damp.
