Description
Scotia, an understated tartan in linen
Since the tartan comes from the yarns, it shows identically on both sides, which you notice most on a flat sheet hanging over the mattress edge. At 205 g/m², Scotia is heavier than the plain Scotia bed linen, because body weight and daily friction demand more from a sheet. The yarn count is Nm 26. Beyond the bed, the check lends the cloth a decorative character, so it also serves as a bedspread. With the matching duvet cover it forms a calm ensemble, while under white covers it sets a deliberate contrast. Scotia is part of the Geniksa bed sheets collection.

Care
Scotia goes up to 60 degrees, like all coloured linen, whereas white linen tolerates 95. Every fabric, however, rewards a cooler cycle with a longer life. Optical brighteners belong elsewhere, because they bleach natural colours and would wash the grey out of the checks. Keep the drum loosely filled, so the sheet can move. Spin briefly and gently; residual moisture then prevents strong creasing. For ironing, choose the hot linen setting and press while the tartan is slightly damp.
