Montana Grey, herringbone and plain weave together

The blend reads 49 per cent wool, 27 per cent linen and 24 per cent viscose. Wool warms, while linen balances temperature, so heat does not build up underneath. A yarn count of Nm 28 and the alternation of herringbone and plain weave give the surface a full, dense hand. The flax-coloured fringe adds a fine finishing detail. Two cushion covers close with a zip, one square at 63 x 63 cm and one long at 40 x 80 cm, and a bag joins them. Over the colder months, Montana Grey becomes the throw you reach for first. It forms part of the throws woven by Libeco, where it keeps the coldest weeks in mind.

Care

Montana Grey carries more wool than linen, and viscose too, so its care label deserves particular attention before the first wash. Where the label leaves room, choose the lightest of hands: cool water and a slow, gentle cycle. Any detergent with optical brighteners fades natural colours; therefore pick one without. Afterwards, reshape the throw softly and lay it flat to dry. Because over-drying can make the cloth shrink, the tumble dryer stays off.
