Nash, stripes that meet at the seam

Nash pairs linen with wool. The fabric holds 70 per cent of the first against 30 per cent of the second. It weighs a substantial 610 g to the square metre. A plain weave with wool and a fine Nm 58 yarn keep every stripe sharp. As with all of Libeco’s decorative coverlets, a seam runs down the middle; in Nash, the stripes on either side match precisely. The cushion covers close with a zip. Linen resists dirt and evens out temperature, whereas wool holds on to warmth. Nash also pairs well with Heritage, Santiago, Ingersoll, Oscar and Foundry, so a bedroom can grow around it piece by piece. It joins its relatives among the Libeco throws and coverlets.

Care

Nash needs little care beyond good sense and a glance at its label. Whatever the sewn-in label prescribes takes priority; beyond that, the wool in the blend favours cool water and a mild, gentle cycle. Choose a detergent free of optical brighteners, because such agents bleach the Arabica and Beeswax tones. Do not crowd the drum. Afterwards, spread the coverlet out flat to dry. Finally, keep it clear of the tumble dryer, as over-drying may shrink the linen.
