Notting Hill sets the base tone of the bed. Its chocolate brown suits neutral covers as readily as contrasting ones, so the sheet adapts to several moods. Spun to Nm 26 and woven to 175 g/m², the washed linen sleeps cool. Flax draws moisture away from the body, therefore the mattress stays drier through the night. An elastic edge runs all round, so the sheet sits smoothly and stays in place when you turn. Libeco’s mechanical finish keeps the linen soft against the skin. Care

As coloured linen, Notting Hill tolerates the machine at temperatures of up to 60 degrees. Yet a gentler programme protects both the fibre and the brown. Detergents with optical brighteners have no place here: they strip natural colours and turn the fabric pale. Leave space in the drum, and spin only briefly. In that way enough moisture stays in the linen to limit creasing. For a crisp finish, iron on the hot setting while the sheet is still faintly damp.
