Description
“Palazzo pure linen bed linen from Leitner Leinen”
Palazzo – a name that conjures up palaces, Venetian splendor and architectural masterpieces on the Grand Canal. This bed linen is woven architecture, a textile monument that brings the grandeur of Italian palaces into your bedroom. Where other designs work with floral motifs, Palazzo focuses on architectural elements: columns and arches, capitals and friezes merge with classical ornamentation to create a total work of art with a breathtaking wealth of detail. Vines twine around imaginary columns, arabesques frame mythological images of gods, symmetrically composed yet richly decorated. The result is reminiscent of precious tapestries from the time of the Doges, of candlelit salons with a view of Venetian canals. The nine expressive shades – from elegant white to delicate sakura and dramatic anthracite – allow for individual interpretations: historicizing in muted grey tones or self-confident in bright colors.
The benefits of organic linen from Europe
When it comes to bed linen, linen is the first choice of discerning sleepers – and has been for thousands of years. The exceptionally long fibers of the European flax plant give the fabric a silky smoothness that feels wonderfully cool against the skin. Linen is a master of moisture regulation: it can absorb up to a third of its weight in moisture without the bed linen feeling damp. This natural breathability creates an optimum bed climate for all seasons – refreshing on hot nights, temperate in winter. The robust fiber structure guarantees exceptional durability, while the gentle mechanical finishing gives the linen its naturalness. Leitner Leinen consistently uses organic linen from European cultivation – a commitment to environmental protection and quality.
Manufacturing tradition since 1853
The history of linen weaving Leitner begins in 1853, when the first looms went into operation in Ulrichsberg, Upper Austria. Five generations have passed since then, but the passion for linen and the dedication to perfect craftsmanship have remained. Embedded in the hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel, bed linen collections are created here that combine tradition with innovation. The path from local weaving mill to internationally renowned manufactory was characterized by the pursuit of excellence. The result can be seen at the most important textile trade fairs worldwide. Yet for all its internationality, Leitner remains a manufactory in the best sense of the word: manageable, personal, flexible. Special sizes for unusual beds are just as much a matter of course as individual advice. Each piece is manufactured with the aim of lasting for generations.

Caring for your linen bedding
Linen bed linen is easy to care for and develops an increasingly pleasant softness over time. Colored linen can withstand temperatures up to 60°, white linen up to 95°. In everyday life, 40-60° is usually sufficient for perfect cleanliness. Avoid using detergents with optical brighteners – these take away the linen’s natural depth of color. The slight creasing of linen is a quality feature that emphasizes the naturalness of the material. For smoother results: Do not load the drum more than two thirds full and select a maximum of 1000 revolutions. Iron at the highest setting with residual moisture. Tumble drying is not recommended – air drying is gentle on the fibers and preserves the quality for decades.
