Description
Moroccan Stripe, two panels and one rhythm
Libeco blends 70 per cent linen with 30 per cent wool. After weaving, the mill washes the cloth, which settles at a heavy 610 grams per square metre. A plain weave holds the two fibres together, spun to a yarn count of Nm 58. Linen keeps the surface fresh and resists dirt, whereas wool lends volume and warmth. So the cover feels right on cool evenings and milder nights alike. The cushion covers repeat both stripe variations of the coverlet on their fronts. Their backs stay plain, finished with a herringbone trim in Black and Flax and a concealed zip. Over time the washed cloth grows more supple still. The Moroccan Stripe linen-wool coverlet sits within the Libeco throws collection, among the warmer textures of the house.

Care
The Moroccan Stripe coverlet carries its own care label, and its word comes before any habit you have with linen. With wool in the blend, restraint seems wise: cool water, a gentle cycle, no hurry. Choose a detergent free of optical brighteners, since they would leave the stripes pale. Once out of the machine, the coverlet prefers to dry lying flat in the air. Skip the tumble dryer as well, because over-drying can shrink linen. Treated like this, the stripes keep their quiet rhythm.
