Description
“Versailles pure linen bed linen from Leitner Leinen”
Versailles – a name that conjures up the splendor of the French royal court, the splendor of the Sun King era and the perfection of the Baroque art of living. This bed linen translates courtly grandeur into textile form: lavish ornamentation, symmetrically composed according to the rules of classical garden art, with the precision of royal representation. Curved volutes and acanthus leaves merge into a total work of art that breathes the spirit of Versailles. Each element fits into strict symmetry, like the perfectly laid out gardens of André Le Nôtre, and reveals a wealth of detail. The design oscillates between ceremonial austerity and playful opulence – like life at court, where etiquette and aesthetics were inextricably interwoven. The nine exquisite shades – from regal white to delicate sakura and deep anthracite – transform every bedroom into a royal chamber where you can experience true craftsmanship night after night.
The benefits of European organic linen
For centuries, linen has been the first choice of discerning people when it comes to bed linen. The material has a unique ability to regulate temperature: it has a cooling effect on warm summer nights and a warming effect on cool winter nights. Linen owes this natural intelligence to its fiber structure – the long, smooth fibers create microscopically small air chambers that ensure optimum moisture balance. Linen can absorb up to 35 percent of its own weight in moisture without feeling clammy. The natural smoothness of linen fibers makes the material exceptionally skin-friendly. Linen becomes softer and more supple with every wash, without losing any of its stability. The robustness of the fibers guarantees that you will enjoy your bed linen for many years. Leitner only uses organic linen from European cultivation – a promise to the environment and quality.
The manufactory in the Mühlviertel
High up in the Austrian Mühlviertel region, in the small village of Ulrichsberg on the edge of the Bohemian Forest, the Leitner have been perfecting their craft since 1853. What began as a regional linen weaving mill has developed over five generations into a manufactory that causes a stir at the world’s most important textile fairs. The secret lies in the combination of traditional skills and contemporary standards. While elsewhere mass-produced goods roll off the assembly line, Leitner bed linen collections are created by experienced experts who watch over every detail. The manageable size allows for flexibility: special sizes for unusual bed dimensions are just as much a matter of course as individual advice. Each comforter cover and pillowcase bears the signature of a production process that focuses on durability. Leitner creates bed linen that is designed to last for generations.

Linen bed linen care
Linen bed linen is uncomplicated and develops an even more pleasant softness with every wash. Colored linen can be washed at up to 60° without any problems, white bed linen can even withstand 95°. For everyday use, 40-60° is completely sufficient. Important: Do not use detergents with optical brighteners, as these will strip the linen of its natural color brilliance. The characteristic creasing of linen is part of its natural beauty and emphasizes the authenticity of the material. For a smoother appearance, we recommend not overloading the machine and selecting a moderate spin speed of no more than 1000 revolutions. Ironing is optional – if desired, on the highest setting while the laundry is still slightly damp. We do not recommend tumble drying: air drying is gentler, preserves the fiber quality optimally and extends the life of your precious bed linen by many years.
