Junco, mottled stripes from undyed flax yarn

At 205 g/m², Junco is a heavy cloth, heavier than the Junco bed linen, and it handles daily wear on the mattress without losing suppleness. Its yarn count is Nm 26. With each wash the weave becomes softer, while the stripes stay, because they belong to the yarn itself. Paired with the Junco duvet cover, it completes a striped bed. Under plain covers, however, it adds a discreet accent that appears when you turn back the duvet. Linen also regulates temperature and stays fresh for longer. Care

Junco tolerates a 60 degree wash, the rule for coloured linen, while white linen accepts 95. Lower heat, though, preserves any textile longer. Detergents with optical brighteners have no place here, as they bleach natural tones and flatten the mottled stripes. Load loosely, so the fabric can turn in the drum. Spin with a light hand and briefly, because linen needs some residual moisture to avoid hard creases. To iron Junco, set the iron to linen, hot, and press while the sheet is still a little damp.
