Description
Junco, heathered stripes in undyed linen
Junco uses 100 per cent washed linen of 175 g/m², and its yarn measures Nm 26. Its stripes come from the flax itself, since undyed fibres vary in shade. Consequently the pattern never repeats with mechanical precision. The weight works through every season, while the fibre balances temperature and absorbs moisture. Geniksa finishes the cloth mechanically, so it feels soft and resists creasing. Around the edge, a classic hem leaves the stripes uninterrupted, letting the drawing of the yarn speak. Junco joins the plain colours and the Scotia tartan in the Geniksa bed linen collection.

Care
Undyed linen like Junco goes into the machine at 60 degrees at most; even so, lower temperatures help it last. Optical brighteners would strip natural colour and fade the stripes, so pick a detergent without them. A half-empty drum lets the fabric move. Spin briefly and gently, then the residual moisture will keep creases soft. Should you want to iron, turn the dial to its hot linen mark and work on cloth that has not yet dried. Over time the stripes only settle deeper into the cloth.
