The Wellness Swiss stone pine comforter from HEFEL brings a breath of the Alps into the bedroom. Virgin sheep’s wool forms the filling, and real Tyrolean stone pine flakes lie scattered through it. The wool balances temperature, while the soft fragrance of the Zirbe wood invites a calm and restful sleep. A cotton fine satin with aloe vera wraps everything, kind to the skin. Nothing here asks for attention. It simply stays, night after night, as an all-season comforter should.

Stone pine pioneers since 2007
Behind this comforter stands HEFEL, an Austrian family firm whose knowledge has passed down through several generations. In 2007 the house made its first comforter with stone pine flakes, and the Wellness Zirbe line has belonged to the range ever since. Each piece leaves the workshop only after someone has made and checked it individually. That patience belongs to this comforter as much as the wool does. BodyFit quilting traces the shape of the sleeper, so warmth spreads evenly and never gathers in one place. Thus the duvet lies close without pressing down. What reaches the bed is a quiet piece of Austrian craft, with a faint trace of Tyrolean forest in it.

Description

Stone pine and wool, the filling

In a test of natural duvets, Öko-Test gave the Wellness Zirbe series its top mark of very good, the only natural duvet to earn it. Because wool cleans itself in fresh air, the comforter also suits people with a house dust allergy. Moisture leaves the sleeper through the fine satin, which keeps the bed dry until morning. Moreover, the sleeping climate remains even from spring into winter. Over the years the filling keeps its loft and its strength, and the comforter holds its shape. You will find it within the HEFEL all-season duvet collection, beside the other natural fills from Austria.

Care

Fresh air does most of the work. Hang the comforter out on a dry day, and the wool regenerates and loses any odour. A machine wash is unnecessary, since airing is enough. When a mark appears, clean only that spot, gently and by hand. The dry sleeping climate also makes it a good companion for sensitive skin. Looked after in this way, the stone pine scent and the wool stay with you through many seasons.
