What makes this piece special
  • A delicate houndstooth pattern – woven rather than printed, identical on both sides, and permanently visible.
  • Heavyweight pure linen – 240 g/m² napkins and placemats, noticeably substantial and dimensionally stable.
  • Woven on the Baltic Sea – European flax, undyed, unbleached, produced in a carbon-neutral manner.
  • Stain-resistant – the dense flax fibres repel dirt, and the pattern remains intact after every wash.
  • Masters of Linen – Oeko-Tex 100, can be combined with the Arctica tablecloth and all Geniksa colours.

Arctica linen placemats from Geniksa

Arctica linen tablecloth from Geniksa. This pattern is executed in a classic plain weave using natural yarn. The Arctica linen tablecloth from Geniksa is a fabric pattern that is indebted to the tradition of great linen weaving mills. Arctica is a tablecloth that is so timelessly beautiful that there is simply no fashionable term for it. Not to mention its high quality and unique surface.
A simple scene with a table covered with a gray tablecloth, on which an open book lies, and a brown glass vase with bare, twisting branches against a plain light background.

The Weaving Mill

The simple, almost purist style that Geniksa displays in the production of its underwear is due to its love of nature, as pure linen actually proves itself through its visual presence and unmistakable feel. All Geniksa fabrics bear the coveted “Masters of Linen” label. This guarantees that the fabrics have been tested to meet the extremely high requirements of this master class and that they are manufactured exclusively in Europe. “Eco Line” and “Oeko-Tex” give you the certainty that Geniksa fabrics are free of harmful substances and that they have not been treated, bleached or dyed with chemicals.

Description

Tablecloths made from European organic linen

With their unique look, linen tablecloths complement any tableware and table decorations, whether the table is set for 2 or 20 people. Linen tablecloths are the first choice for a festive table. The heavy fabric lies smoothly on the table surface and has an extremely elegant drape on the sides. Linen tablecloths and table runners combine wonderfully in muted colors or, of course, in classic white. Linen tablecloths are quite resistant to stains. The smooth and dense fiber repels dirt and is easy to clean. The purely mechanically treated fabric for tablecloths and table runners made from European organic linen is very pleasant to the touch and also impresses with its unconditional sustainability, which is certified by the Oeko Tex Standard 100. Organic linen napkins round off the perfect set for a festive or everyday table setting.

Care Instructions

Colored linen can be washed up to 60°, white up to 95°. As with all materials, linen will last longer if washed at a lower temperature. What linen does not tolerate are detergents with optical brighteners, they bleach out the natural colors and the fabric becomes light Wrinkling: Linen needs sufficient residual moisture so that it does not wrinkle so much. Do not overload the machine so that the fabric can move, do not spin linen too hard or for too long. If you want to iron linen, iron the items on the hot linen setting of your iron when they are still a little damp.
