Description

“Cambridge Rug Wheat Pure Linen by Libeco”

Cambridge Rug Wheat Pure Linen by Libeco. The designer says: “Here at Libeco, we call the earthy, muted colours of this collection ‘linen colours’. The rugs are woven in a very robust construction and finished with fringes at both ends. They look best with a rug underlay. Available in five sizes.”

Inspired by the colours of the English university town. Here in a cool taupe shade. The linen rug is available in three rich colours and five sizes, as an area rug or long runner. All items are finished with fringes. They offer endless combination possibilities and pair beautifully with almost all Libeco collections.

Rugs made from organic linen

Walking barefoot over a rug made from organic linen is a whole new experience of comfort. Using the classic plain weave technique, we employ yarns made from flax fibres. This makes rugs from organic linen truly special floor coverings. The strong and resilient linen fibre makes the rug very hard-wearing and creates a warming air cushion. Not only in terms of environmental friendliness and sustainability are rugs from organic linen unbeatable. They are also dirt-repellent, hypoallergenic and antibacterial. The organic linen used is grown in Europe. Rugs from organic linen not only feel very pleasant underfoot – whether barefoot, in socks or with shoes – they also give a clear conscience, as our rugs are certified by the GOTS standard.

The Weaving Mill

Libeco received the accolade of the Belgian Royal House in 2006: “Belgian Royal Warrant Holder” is the impressive recognition of the quality of these textiles. The “Belgian Linen” quality seal guarantees a quality product made according to all the rules of sustainable business. All fabrics by Libeco carry the coveted “Masters of Linen” label. This guarantees that the fabrics have been tested to the extremely high standards of this master class and that they are manufactured exclusively in Europe. “Eco Line” and “Oeko-Tex” provide the assurance that Libeco fabrics are free from harmful substances and have not been chemically treated, bleached or dyed.

Care Instructions

Coloured linen can be washed at up to 60°C, white at up to 95°C. As with all materials, the same applies to linen: washing at lower temperatures extends its life. What linen cannot tolerate are detergents with optical brighteners – they bleach out the natural colours significantly and the fabric becomes pale. Creasing: linen needs sufficient residual moisture so that it does not crease too much. Do not overload the machine so that the fabric can move freely, and do not spin linen laundry too hard or too long. If you wish to iron linen, iron the pieces on the hot linen setting of your iron while they are still slightly damp. Even though it may be convenient: avoid drying linen in the tumble dryer. Over-drying can cause shrinkage.
