Charcoal, in this carpet, comes with a counterweight. The washed blend weighs 1000 g/m², with 45 per cent wool set against 55 per cent linen, woven in a plain weave from yarn of Nm 58. Linen brings soil resistance and a cool surface, while wool adds warmth and volume. Thus the carpet suits rooms in daily use. The organic flax grows in Europe, and the wool also comes from European sheep. Construction Charcoal joins the Faded Black and Ginger versions in the Libeco rugs collection.

Most of the care Construction Charcoal needs happens without water. Air the carpet regularly, outdoors if you can, and shake out the dust that settles in the weave. Because linen keeps much dirt at a distance, careful spot cleaning generally handles small accidents, ideally with a detergent free of optical brighteners. The wool share, however, asks for a soft touch. Whatever goes beyond this, let the care label of the rug decide. On an underlay, the carpet then stays flat and in its place.
