Celeste Classic Linen Bedding by Geniksa
The Celeste Classic linen bedding wears a pastel blue that could have come from a painting by Monet. The shade is soft and discreet, yet it brightens a bedroom at once. Meanwhile, the qualities of flax look after a calm and deep sleep. Celeste is the one cool colour in the Geniksa range, since every other design keeps to warmer tones. Its classic hem lets the blue lie smooth and inviting.

A cool blue from the Baltic shore
Geniksa weaves beside the Baltic Sea, and it accepts only flax grown in Europe. Its taste runs to the plain and the purist, because pure linen needs little help to show its quality. Celeste brings a breath of sea air into that restraint. The blue stays light enough to keep the texture of the cloth visible. After weaving, Geniksa finishes the fabric mechanically, so neither bleach nor chemical treatment touches it. Furthermore, Masters of Linen certifies the cloth, which guarantees European production and strict testing. A pine branch embroidered on each piece remains the house signature.

Description

Celeste, a fresh light blue in classic linen

Celeste uses washed linen of 175 g/m², woven from Nm 26 yarn, a weight for all seasons. The fresh light blue sets a cool, calming mood, especially beside white or light grey sheets from Geniksa. Flax regulates temperature, so the bed stays pleasantly cool in summer and cosy in winter. Its long fibres also absorb moisture and repel dirt, which keeps the linen fresh for longer. Thanks to mechanical finishing, the cloth feels soft from the start and creases less. Unlike Celeste Buttons, the Classic version shows no closure detail at all. Celeste Classic forms part of the Geniksa bed linen collection.

Care

Celeste tolerates up to 60 degrees as a coloured linen; however, a cooler wash spares both colour and fibre. Keep optical brighteners out of the detergent, because they bleach the pastel blue and pale the fabric. Do not overload the drum. Spin gently and briefly, since residual moisture prevents strong creasing. When ironing, choose the hot linen setting and press the pieces while they are still slightly damp.
