Continuous or Split — Two Configurations

Continuous mattress (200x200): One mattress topper 200x200 across the entire surface. No gap, no height difference, continuous sleeping feel. The challenge: two people with different sleep climates share one surface. The Cool variant with PCM is the best choice — it actively balances temperature differences regardless of who lies where.
Split mattresses (2x 100x200): Two separate mattress toppers 100x200 side by side. Each side gets its own material — TENCEL for one person, wool for the other. Maximum individualisation. The linen fitted sheet in 200x200 bridges the gap and creates a uniform surface.

Which Material for Two Square Metres?

On 200x200 cm, the material choice is particularly relevant — more body surface, more moisture, more heat that must be distributed across a large area:
Cool (TENCEL + PCM): The top recommendation for continuous 200 cm mattresses. The Phase Change Material distributes warmth across the entire surface — excess heat is stored and released to cooler zones.
TENCEL: For couples who both sleep warm. Maximum cooling and moisture removal. Combined with a summer duvet and linen bed linen in 200x200, the coolest complete system.
Wool: For couples who both sleep cold. Insulates the large surface from below. With a winter duvet, the warmest system.

200x200 is the bed size where the sleep system has the greatest effect — the surface is so large that each layer contributes noticeably to the overall climate:
Mattress topper 200x200 → linen fitted sheet in 200x200 → duvet as a shared 200x200 or 220x240 → linen duvet cover → pillow with linen pillowcase.
Care: Elastic corner straps on all four corners hold the topper securely. Washable at 60 °C (depending on fill), some models up to 95 °C.
