In a kingsize double bed (180x200, split mattress): Two 90x200 toppers side by side solve the most common problem of split mattresses: different warmth preferences. TENCEL on the side that perspires. Wool on the side that feels cold. Each person sleeps on their own material — the fitted sheet in 180x200 bridges the gap.

Which Material for Which Sleep Type?

The material choice is the same as for all Hefel toppers — the difference lies not in the size but in sleep behaviour:
TENCEL: For people who perspire at night. Cools actively, dries quickly. Combined with a Hefel summer duvet and linen bed linen, the coolest system.
Wool: For cold sleepers. Insulates from below, keeps dry. With a winter duvet, the warmest system.
Cool (TENCEL + PCM): For fluctuating temperature sensitivity. Stores heat and returns it. The best compromise.
Cotton: Year-round, straightforward, familiar.
Swiss stone pine: Calming effect through stone pine flakes. Wellness character.
Outlast & Maize: Most sustainable high-tech variant. Corn-based, biodegradable.

Attachment, Care and Further Sizes

Elastic corner straps on all four corners hold the topper securely on the mattress — no slipping, even with restless sleep. The topper lies invisibly under the fitted sheet.
Care: Washable at 60 °C (depending on fill, check label). Some models up to 95 °C — particularly relevant for allergy sufferers. Air regularly, roughly every two months. A full wash every six months suffices if there is no particular soiling. No fabric softener. Tips at Care & Durability.
